- Who am I? I'm a computer programmer. (They say you aren't what you do for a living, but I think we are that, and more.) I'm a husband, married since 1981, and we are now empty-nesters. I'm a guy who looks at the people at work and thinks they must all be smarter than I am, and a guy who wonders, when the younger employees come to talk to me, if they think they're looking at a wise old programmer. (Truth: They aren't). And I'm a guy who says that commute time is not the worst part of the day.
